ChatGPT Chat Organiser — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 25 October 2026 · Publisher: BroKaz App Hub · Version reviewed: 11.5
ChatGPT Chat Organiser is an independent Chrome extension designed to help users search, select, and delete eligible conversations displayed in the Recent section of their ChatGPT sidebar. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by OpenAI.
What the extension accesses
On https://chatgpt.com/, the extension reads the titles and links or identifiers of conversations currently displayed in the ChatGPT interface, as well as which conversation is active and which chats are eligible for selection. This information is used to display the manager, search/filter visible Recent chats, protect the active chat, and perform user-confirmed actions using ChatGPT's own deletion controls. It does not need to read the full message contents of conversations for these functions.
How information is used and shared
Based on the published version 11.5 extension code, chat titles and conversation identifiers are handled locally in your browser for the extension's stated features. The extension does not contain analytics, advertising trackers, a developer-operated collection endpoint, or code that sends the chat list to BroKaz App Hub or third parties. When you confirm a deletion, the extension interacts with the ChatGPT website; OpenAI processes those site operations under its own terms and privacy policy.
Storage and retention
The reviewed extension does not use Chrome's extension storage to permanently save chat titles, links, messages, or selections, and BroKaz App Hub does not operate a database of your chats. Your selections are held temporarily in the active browser page while the manager runs.
Permissions
- tabs: Find and focus an already-open ChatGPT tab, or create a ChatGPT tab if needed.
- scripting: Insert the manager into a ChatGPT tab already open before installation or an update, without requiring a page refresh.
- Access to https://chatgpt.com/*: Display the manager, read eligible Recent chat links, and interact with the site's deletion controls after your confirmation.
Your controls
You choose which eligible Recent chats to select and must confirm before deletion starts. The active conversation is excluded from bulk deletion; pinned chats are excluded from the manager. The extension does not search your entire ChatGPT account history. Deleted conversations may not be recoverable through the extension.
Updates and contact
If the extension's data-handling practices change, this privacy policy will be updated. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to brokazapphub@gmail.com.
